It is the story of Shyam Vilas Yadav of Uttar Pradesh (as shown in Savdhaan India, a show on Indian television) and of 50,000 or more people in Uttar Pradesh, India alone. Shyam was proven dead by his paternal uncle and his property confiscated.
When Shyam returned to his village, he was dumbfounded by the harsh reality. He had to struggle for 8 years begging people to believe he was alive, fight for his identity, push his way through unimaginable circumstances until the day when veil was lifted from his truth. He found that there were more people like him and formed a society called "Jeevit Mritak Sangh" through which they raised their voices. Shyam was finally heard.
But the question is , where is the world heading? Our society has become so corrupted. It has become so easy to prove a living person dead. It is just little money and some use of power and political contacts is that you need to get false death certificates issued. And all this for what? Just to claim someone else's property or getting rid of their spouses to remarry someone else.
I just hope this ends one day or we would stop trusting our very own people. And relationships would be emotionless and need based. This is not that we want to live through in future. This needs to end......
